Ajusa has installed in its brand new facilities a ROTATING STOCK which improves the service to its customers. Basically, this type of stock consists of conventional motorized shelving which move on rails to where the workers are preparing orders.
Production capacity has increased in the kit assembly department and order preparation, reducing shipping time to our customers. Ajusa has also reduced the possibility or errors when preparing orders thanks to the software that manages the moves of this stock, since it guides the workers in a very easy way on picking up the products.
The rotating stock brings us a series of advantages.
- Higher quality in the preparation or orders, since the possibility of errors is reduced by workers when they pick up products from the shelving.
- Higher storage capacity and better use of existing spots for stock. Chaotic stock and the possibility of having the same reference in different locations, makes us not having empty spaces waiting for a new lot of product.
- Productivity. It increases considerably since workers do not have to walk around the warehouse. Also, workers can prepare more orders simultaneously, since they are not limited by the volume and weight of the chart with products.
- Higher performance; since it is a machine that moves, it is always constant and does not suffer physical tiredness that a worker may suffer.
- Centralization of the picking point in a very reduced area, with the possibility to improve and condition the working environment, including tools they did not have before (PC, printers, verifying instruments…)
- Optimization of the space by eliminating walking aisles in a conventional warehouse.
- Better rotation of the product, since the system allows to storage a reference in different places, saving the exact time that it was put in stock, in such a way that when we want a specific reference, it will always bring us the first that was storaged (FIFO warehouse)
